Raw materials for resin synthesis
Maleic anhydride – MA
Key intermediate for the synthesis of unsaturated polyester resins used in fiberglass laminates and composite products. It is one of the core raw materials for resins used in industrial applications and gelcoat formulations.
Purified isophthalic acid – PIA
Raw material for isophthalic polyester resins and gelcoats requiring enhanced water and chemical resistance. Particularly relevant for marine applications and composite products designed for demanding service conditions.
Propylene glycol – PG
Glycol used in the production of unsaturated polyester resins for composite materials. Together with acid intermediates and anhydrides, it forms part of our core raw material offering for UPR manufacturers.
Neopentyl glycol – NPG
Diol used in polyester resins and gelcoats where water and weather resistance are key performance requirements. Particularly relevant in isophthalic/NPG systems for marine applications and exterior-exposed composite surfaces.
Fumaric acid
Acid component used in the synthesis of unsaturated polyester resins. It broadens our range of intermediates for manufacturers using fumaric acid in their resin production processes.
Gelcoat pigmentation and finishing
Titanium dioxide – TiO₂
White pigment used in the formulation of gelcoats and pigment pastes for composite products. It contributes to opacity, whiteness and the overall colour performance of the finished surface. Grade selection depends on the resin system, dispersion requirements and the exposure conditions of the final product.
